Deathstar

An online experience to promote the Star Wars line of Adidas footwear and share with friends.

 
 

Back in the day when brands were still willing to create micro-sites, we created an app that let people blow up their friends’ house with the Death Star.

Leveraging the Star Wars collaboration, we mashed up campaign film footage and Lucas Arts Star Wars films footage to create an edited extended storyline to the original Death Star Superlaser scene. With Google’s API we deliver a localized street view that highlights your target area and shows users the nearest store. Facebook connect easily let users share the experience, and the embeddable piece made it easy for 3rd party retailers to post the experience on their .com platform.
